Miss Lau is the school’s founder and has been teaching Montessori for 26 years. She graduated from Montessori St. Nicholas Center in London and the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) – NWM Portland. (AMI is the only Montessori teacher training organization endorsed by Dr. Maria Montessori herself.) Miss Lau also obtained a Master of Education Degree in Montessori from Whitworth University (Spokane). She is a devoted Christian and was involved with several short-term missions in volunteering Montessori teaching in underprivileged countries.
